Qik Video

I just discovered a cool service called Qik. It allows you to live stream video from your phone to their website, plus it saves it for later. I’m only using the free service to see how I like it for now. To view my live stream you can either click on the Videos link above, or go to:

Not much at this point other than my lame first video test.

This entry will make lemons out of lemonade.

Okinawa Bug Invasion!

I don’t know why this hasn’t made the news, but it appears that Okinawa, Japan is being overrun by giant insects!

bugcam

I have a rotating webcam gadget on my iGoogle page that loads a random webcam shot from around the world every 30 seconds. This popped up some time last week. It was so odd that I decided to grab a quick screenshot of it.

This entry just came down with a case of the creepy crawlies.

Playing with toys

Rece picked up some of these little guys at Ikea today and I couldn’t help but set them up for a photo.

 BAM!

December 26, 2008

If you didn’t already notice, I made the one of them kissing a little warmer shade than the punching photo for added effect.

Right now, Rece and I are busy clearing out our bedrooms and patching holes in the wall in preparation of painting. My room is long overdue for a completely different color. I’ll be posting some before and after pictures. I’m so looking forward to something other than hot pink!

This entry hopes the room will be more masculine now.

Evil Lego Lives

I’ll definitely have to try doing this month of photos project again – but in Summer, when I have more daylight. I’m finding that I’ll get stuck helping out clients and working that when I’m done it’s already close to 5:00 pm and it’s almost dark outside! Add to that my inherent tendency towards procrastination and it’s proving to be unusual to find me posting a shot that was taken during the day. At least I try to have fun with it!

 December 22, 2008 - Evil Lego Lives

I keep Evil Lego in my camera bag. It was done so that if I ever happened to find a bad situation happening that I could take a picture of, I might be able to place Evil Lego in the foreground so that it might look as though he might have had something to do with it. So far it hasn’t happened, but I’ll be carrying him around with my camera from now on. Expect to see more of him from time to time.

This entry isn’t bad; it’s just drawn that way.

Evil Lego

Feeling rather demented, I opted for something both silly and sick in the head as a scene for today’s photo.

 December 10, 2008

It took a little time to sort through what’s left of Rece’s Lego collection and find enough pieces to set this up. Then I sucked a little ketchup (catsup?!) into a straw and blew it out, splattering it right where I wanted – and looking better (worse?!) than anticipated. Rece got home not too long after and inquired as to why his Legos were in the drying rack …

This entry doesn’t understand the point.

Kiss a Wookie, Kick a droid …

If this video doesn’t make you smile, stop reading my blog.

Sandwich

I went home for lunch yesterday and made myself a sandwich. I set it down on a table and thought it looked pretty good … so I took a picture. Later that evening I pulled it into Photoshop and applied the Orton Effect to it. Yes, I was that bored.

This entry found the sandwich delicious.

This entry urges you to pay it no mind — no, it hadn’t been drinking.

Humping Dog USB Drives

These are real. You can buy USB drives with little dog characters on them that when inserted into a USB drive, hump your computer.

This entry … ah, hell … what?

Mustache

Either this guy is a total nut job, or he’s got a kick-ass sense of humor…

This entry is experiencing the discomfort of a mild sunburn.
